Christina Prompona is a professional dancer and choreographer from Athens, Greece. She holds a BA in Contemporary Dancing from State School of Dance in Greece (KSOT) as well as an MA in Dance/Performance at Trinity Laban in London (funded by Stavros Niarchos Foundation).She has worked with Hellenic dance company for the pieces “Tomorrow” (Jasmin Vardimon) and “Steps on the Street” (Martha Graham), Among her numerous accomplishments, those that stand out are her collaboration with top tier choreographers and dancers, such as Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer, Hetain Petal, Karole Armitage, Marina Collard, Sasha Pirogova, Georgia Tegou, Michalis Theofanous, as well as her scholarship from Athens Epidaurus Festival and Aterballeto for the collaboration with Patricia Apergi and Christos Papadopoulos on a workpiece that was presented in Brescia Teatro Sociale in Italy. Since Summer 2019, she is a member of Vivian Triantafylopoulou Dance Company and she now lives in London as a movement artist, occupied with live performances, film and photography.
